Anthony Le Tallec has left Liverpool

He was labelled a prodigy as a youth player, but never did quite cut it at Anfield. However, his contribution to Liverpool winning the European Cup in 2005 deserves to be remembered, it was his insight/genius with a pass, which cut through Juventus to set up Luis Garcia for his wonder goal (without which we wouldn't have made the semi finals). While it's long been known he would be heading for the door, the day finally arrived yesterday. Hearts had been hoping to sign him but he has joined Le Mans in France instead.
