Javier Mascherano up for tax evasion / jail ?

One minute I'm talking about him being available on the cheap (but not this cheap!), the next thing I'm reading about reports from brazilian newspapers (O Estado & Folha) which allege that the likes of Mascherano, Tevez, Alberto & Ricardino are at the centre of a police probe for dodging taxes.

Corinthians are being investigated over financial irregularities involving players supplied by Kia Joorabchian's company MSI. Given that the company pretty much 'owned' these players I doubt they had too much control over their own finances and will probably be found innocent of any wrong doing. Still it will be interesting to see what happens as the investigation unfolds.
