Didn't Rafa learn his lesson first time ?

How many times have you heard about signing the next Zidane etc, well how about this time the next Milan Baros.

According to the Italian press, Liverpool and Arsenal are chasing the signature of Czechoslovakian Martin Fenin who impressed in the under 20 World Cup. Normally when someone mentions the next Super Duper player, I roll my eyes and think oh no not again, but this time instead of associating him with a great player, they're associating him with one who's prone to run into blind alleys !

If he is the next Baros, hopefully Arsenal will beat us to his signature ;-)

Paul,

I never understood why Baros didn't played well at Anfield. I really liked his form in EURO 2004 and thoughtt that he could be one of the better European players of the decade.

Which is his real problem? Fitness? Lack of commitment? Overvaluation?

My best regards,

Hi Helio,
Baros certainly played well in Euro 2004, he's quite a good player (commitment, pace, skill)when playing off of a target man (such as Koller but never really had that with LFC).
His problems with Liverpool were more centred on his inability to lift his head (when dribbling) and be more aware of his surroundings :-(
I liked him to a certain extent but he frustrated us more often than not !!
