The look of disbelief on his face when being substituted was slight cause for concern, surely he didn't really think it was unjustified ?
Our captains form has been rather terrible lately, more so than the rest of the team, so it was good to see Rafa taking him off.
I like the look of Leiva, while his confidence is not quite there yet he still possesses some sublime touches. The team as a whole didn't play too well until our first penalty against Everton but it was watching how the lads lifted their game once Stevie went off that I found somewhat intriguing.
I hope Rafa continues to drop Stevie when he doesn't play too well, he needs to know he has to fight for his place just like everyone else.

Hi, Paul! ;)
I'm a 34 years-old Brazillian professor and research in Communications supporting GRÊMIO FOOTBALL PORTO ALEGRENSE, the former club of Lucas Leiva here in the southernmost state of Brazil.
He is a great player. I'm telling you that he is already able to get a place in the Reds first team and to be a permanente Brazil international very soon.
Lucas (we don't have the habit to call players for their family name here in Brazil - it's too strange to us watching LEIVA on his team uniform) is strong, quick and a loyal tackler that also have the ability to power kick near box and he is also a great assistant.
Only Xabi Alonso and Stevie G are technically as equal (or slightly better) than Lucas in the whole Liverpool squad.
Keep your eye wide open over him. For sure our ex-number 8 will make you very happy! ;)
I also have a blog about football, but I suppose yiou can't understand portuguese:

Well I certainly hope Lucas does make us very happy ;-)
The potential is there, all he needs is some experience, definitely one for the future :-)
Unfortunately I don't speak any Portugese !
Or Brazilian! :-)
Stevie G = Dummy Spitter. He needs to grow up. Fast
