And the youth ranks continue to swell, according to Finnish newspaper Karjalainen, Liverpool has signed Lauri Dalla Valle, they also claim he'll receive a signing on fee of between €0.5m & €1m.
While he is widely regarded as one of Finlands hottest ever youth prospects (not that there can be too much competition for that title), I doubt LFC would be willing to pay a signing on fee for a 16 year old attacking midfielder !
Having said that he was on trial with us last summer after failing to settle in Italy with Inter Milan and has been hyped for quite a while now (scores a goal every second game), so it's not like LFC have no idea of what they're getting for the money.

Lauri Dalla Valle. He sounds like a new brand of probiotic yogurt, but let's hope he's decent.
Still think there has to be healthy home grown young players around Liverpool too so hopefully a few more locals will make the breakthrough.
I was getting my hopes up thinking we might be signing a girl for once.
Imagine my disappointment - I think its discrimination!
It is much better to sign dozens of young players with the potential to become world class
We save a fortune in transfer fees even if only one out of every dozen is good enough
I agree with Jessica, we need some cheerleaders
@rsehole - quit the cheerleading shite
Now now kids, lets not start any slagging sprees...
Lauri is the best football player of his age! He is amazing young player who will be one of the best players in the world in future!
dalla valle recently scored a hattrick against serbia for the finland u-19 team.. and although there might not be a lot of competition for the title of all-time most promising finnish player, lets not forget a certain jari litmanen (or sami hyypia for that matter)
i just hope that he makes the breakthrough one day, along with gerardo bruna and other good young talents. thats the problem with liverpool and benitez, he buys all these so called stars of the future but they are never given a chance in the first team to prove themselves
Lauri played his 1st game for Liverpool U17 today against Liverpool U18. The match ended 3-3. Lauri scored three goals. Not bad, huh?
late is the future of football
Liv Academy vs Everton Academy 2-0. Lauri 1 goal, 45 minutes.
I hope we get to see this kid in the first team in a couple of years time ;-)
wonderkid!! this young lad is just sensational... great future at liverpool. 2 games 4 goals so far... actually this guy will be better than c.ronaldo¨, says many youth coach and scout.
there was also chelsea chasing this future superstar. I bet sami has done remarkable job by telling good things about organisation at liverpool. Our future looks bright!
When there was a contract negotiation between Lauri and Liverpool, Rick Parry was representing the reds. It is very unusual that club biggest director negotiate contracts with academy aged players. Signing fee was 1m pounds.
give him another 2 years... sounds awesome. great youth buy!
