Although we've nicked some points along the way, we've had a diabolical run of performances lasting several games. Ignoring much of the media nonsense about the 'R' word being responsible, when it was really due to a lack of confidence or motivation in the squad, I've felt that all it would take would be a couple of good games for us to get our form back.
Tomorrow night we've got a pretty big game with Blackburn who are a point ahead of us. I hope last weeks game against Arsenal does prove to be our Tipping Point and that the hunger the lads showed will carry over and hopefully result in us winning against Blackburn, that could prove to be the result which restores confidence in the side ! If the Arse draws ManUre that would also bring us that bit closer to the top this weekend ;-)

Outside of games versus the other top sides, Blackburn away will be one of the toughest games we face all year. I hope Rafa doesn't over compensate for their physcial approach by leaving out skilful lads like Yossi and Babel. It'd be such a boost to win this and we really need to as either Arse or Scum are dropping points this weekend.
I have to agree with you about not leaving out the skillful players, Voro & Kuyt are both great workhorses but it would be nice to see some 'proper' wingers who can open up the game, I'd be surprised if Kewell doesn't get the nod on the left, Babel/Yossi will probably come on later in the game.
I reckon Blackburn will be going on the attack at home, so having some players who provide pace and width to catch them on the counter should do the trick for us !!!
Blergh. I almost threw myself in front of a bus watching our 'football' in the first half. Why did we leave it until ten minutes to go to really make an effort to win the match?
Once again Rafa's negative approach has cost us points and we fall further behind in the title race. I'm getting more than a little angry with these tactics.
At least now we know that Crouch has to start and that Kuyt just has no class in front of goal. More strikers and creative players required in January!
I had to make do with only watching the match highlights (oh how holidays can interfere!!!), it looked as if we dominated the second half though.
It's not like Blackburn are a very bad side, they're high up the table for a reason.
We're still in a relatively healthy position, as long as we can close the points gap by xmas the eternal optimist in me will hang in there too otherwise I might be expressing myself differently ;-)
We got away with it at Wigan, at Everton, against Arsenal, in fact we're getting away with it so often it perversely looks like it might be our year if we can only pull the finger out!
The last 10 mins against a good side shows what we can do when Rafa throws off the straitjacket. We have it in us but Rafa is tying us up in knots. Let's see where we are after Xmas though.
I think we are still waiting on that tipping point !!!
