Not sure how much truth there is to this, but the 29 year old centre back is a possible transfer target for us and he only has 6 months remaining on his existing contract with Fiorentina.
My gut instinct is that his agent is only playing with Fiorentina by naming the clubs which have expressed an interest in signing him as the player has said that he's 50/50 on whether he wants to leave or not, which kinda implies he wants to stay. I doubt he's anywhere near the top of Rafas list and is probably more of a backup option if any deal for Kahka Kaladze slips through next month.

It makes perfect sense for us to chase multiple targets in case anything falls through but in this case i think his agent is just trying to negotiate a better package for him. Cant see him playing for the reds.
His wife is like some former miss world or something, remember what happened with Luis Figos transfer to us years back, his wife wanted somewhere better for shopping which is why he ended up at milan ! I bet a woman is pulling the purse strings again.
He is a crap player!
Why doesnt Rafa just focus more on developing Hobbs?
The boy has serious potential and is a star in the making!
