It's almost amusing reading all the media reports about how poor Liverpool were against Havant & Waterlooville, like it really matters in the grand scheme of things ? The lads were hardly going to be putting in too much effort against them, as for the Havant players, this was the greatest game of their lives and they may as well have tried their utmost (credit to them for doing just that).
But even if Liverpool tried their best, what would they have achieved by destroying Havant by a huge goal margin ? Absolutely nothing ! All we needed from this game was to progress to the next round and the lads could conserve their energy for the more important match with West Ham on Wedsnesday.

I felt sorry for Martin Skrtel. He had a bit of a nervous debut but that's to be expected. Pity he ended up with an OG to his name.
Lucas again looks really class, nice to see him getting his first goal for us.
Lucas would have had his debut goal ages ago if it werent for that robbing swine Neville with one of the most blatant handballs i have ever seen.
Not too bothered about the game against West Ham - the league is long since lost - we have only the FA Cup & Champions League left to play for now.
The simple fact is that Liverpool were crap. Havant & Waterlooville played to the best of their abilities, while Liverpool, especially in the 1st half were pathetic. Of course Liverpool are the better side, and there talent came through in the end, but Havant and Waterlooville were by far the better team in the first half, and to say "we didn't try" is a poor excuse for the players poor performance.
