Lack of motivation rears its ugly head

Sometimes, I wonder whether I should name and shame players for performing poorly, sadly against Luton yesterday the list would be far too long and I like to be concise in my posts. Not sure if Rafa watched the match as he applauded the efforts of the team afterwards !

With the exception of Carragher there was a distinct lack of effort from the team and as has become all too familiar this season the players seemingly lack any motivation to perform. Everyone has off days, sure that's life, but we can ill afford to have anymore rocky patches these season if we want to win any silverware. I don't have any problems with Rafas rotation policy or his tactical nous, it's his motivational skills that I'm doubting.

Hee hee, I use your Live Season Calendar and I think you put it best when you said in there that you wonder how many fans will bother turning up for the rematch and also whether the players will bother turning up for it ;-)

Benitez is losing the plot totally - he subbed babel + benayoun despite the fact that they were are only creative players yesterday - twat !

Its getting beyond a joke at this stage. Riise should never play for us again and Kuyt is little more than the new Heskey without any pace. I know Crouch scored but he was crap to.

Worrying times indeed. A friend texted me during the Luton game and made a comment about how poor we were playing. I texted back: "I'm not watching. I don't care."

I really needed a break from LFC because every time I watch them lately I just feel depressed and angry afterwards. Our title challenge has petered out already, a combination of abject play and, to be fair, bad luck in front of goal/crappy Kuyt means we're drawing games we should be winning, and there's all this paper talk about Rafa and no transfer funds and Klinsmann and what have you.

Just fed up of the whole stinking lot of it for a while at least. We need to absolutely bury those Middlesbrough fuckers (another shit team, another draw?) and go on a good run of wins but we've said that at too many junctures already this season and it's only start of January...
