With all the recent upheavals in our club, I was beginning to doubt we'd be making any significant signings until a new manager was appointed. Fortunately that hasn't been the case as we look to have secured a winner in Skrtel and now in particular the long drawn out saga of trying to sign Mascherano has finnally come to an end and he has put pen to a 4 year contract :-)
While we won't be seeing Hicks or Gillet using their own cash, hopefully they'll borrow some more money to give us a more complete squad in the summer. I feel we've definitely got the right quality in both central midfield & defence, but alas we're still in need of wingers, wingbacks and another striker.

What do you care about how they find the money? Time to move on. The point is, they have found the cash to pay for Mascherano when lots of other clubs weren't willing to pay that much.
Yeah i agree with John there. It shouldnt matter where they get the money from. Either which way we end up paying for it regardless. At least we have Mascherano now and he is probably the best holding midfielder in the world at present.
That's strange ! How come the article post date says Friday 29th February, yet it only came out today (I think!) ?
Oh ! Nearly forgot to say, thank f**k we've got him for keeps now !!!
get rid of rafa,parry and the owners bring in DIC. rafa will never win us the EPL 4 as long as he's in charge. if rumours are 2 believed that mourinho would be interested in managing liverpool then bring him in. MOURINHO=EPL CHAMPS.

@kevo - i certainly hope DIC do take us over, lord only knows what will happen after that though
