Hamstring injury for Torres could hurt us

As if we didn't have enough problems already, now it looks just that little bit worse. Torres lasted all of 23 minutes for Spain with what appears to be an injury to his right hamstring (damn I hate international friendlies).

If it gets confirmed tomorrow that thats the case then we could be in for some trying times. We've got a tough game with Chelsea at the weekend but of far more importance is our game with Inter Milan next week.

I fear this means we'll see Kuyt back, when what I'd much rather Rafa go with Crouch & Babel up front. We've got a real fight on our hands to finish 4th and the Champions League is something I don't want us getting knocked out of anytime soon. So fingers crossed Torres is ok or that Rafa will take a chance with a pairing of Crouchinho & Babel.

Its better to wait until the official medical report is out. It may not be as bad as it sounds.

man i juz dont want liv to lose to the blues again. i really want to see babel and crouch up front. kuyt? i dont think so. even he likes crouchie robotic dance or whatever!! he's really hard working but he's not in his best form now. i think pennant and benayoun can do the job. to support babel and crouch. hopefully mr. rafa will know what to do. pikes the best player for this game. chelsea its not a joke. they are really good in attacking, our ninja skrtel must be ready ;)

@anonymous - sorry bout the Barnsley game, I've added it now, thanks for the reminder ;-)

@jessica & @tippo - still no news yet on the medical report but Rafa did confirm in an interview on the official LFC site an hour ago that Torres wont be avail for Chelsea

@inderjit - i've not heard of any problems with babel yet !?!

@endless - i wouldn't want to lose to chelsea again either, but it's the inter milan game I'm more worried about. Lord only knows what Rafa has in store for us with chelsea, 4-5-1 seems a distinct probability :-(

Well it's been confirmed he suffered a hamstring tear and is expected to be out for 10 days :-(
