After months of speculation in the press regarding DIC making bids for LFC, I'd resisted making any comments until they actually did. Thankfully they've finally lodged a £400 million bid for LFC.
Originally the Yanks wanted a dreamland valuation of the club to be met (£1 Billion), fortunately one of them has climbed down on that ridiculous valuation (rumoured to be Gillet). It's disgusting to think that these Yanks could make so much money from us without providing any real value to the club at all.
I'm long since tired of reading about all the off field problems with LFC and the sooner DIC can take over LFC then the sooner our club can start moving forward again. We all want real progress on the new stadium, not to mention a management team which are capable of efficiently running the club.

God I hope things hurry the fuck up and get sorted out. Sadly I don't think they will be as Hicks seems intent on maximising his "investment" (read: he signed a piece of fucking paper and fronted no cash) and selling for as much as possible.
hicks does not care if everyone hates him. in america all the fans of his teams hate him too. he only wants to make shit loads of money and does not care what effect it has on the clubs/fans.
also sky.com have just announced that hicks/gillet turned down the DIC offer.
Big protest planned for half time at Anfield tonight - in light of the news that the offer has been turned down.
Am looking forward to the day that i can come on the internet and write about football, not business, or America, or all the off-the-field antics! Maybe next week after we've battered Inter..?
