Injury prone Agger out for rest of season

Beautiful, just f**king beautiful. It's just been confirmed that Agger will have to undergo surgery and as a result will miss the rest of the season. I can't help but wonder if Aggers career is always going to be dogged by injury considering how often he's been injured.
Fortunately Skrtel has settled into the side much quicker than I initially imagined he would so that should help alleviate Aggers absence. Hopefully the surgery will resolve Aggers metatarsal once and for all as I'd love to see how good Agger & Skrtel can be together, there really is the potential for them to surpass Lawrenson & Hansen as our best ever central defensive partnership.

Skrtel looks to be a mainstay in our side but Agger despite being the most talented defender we've got is too injury prone to be depended on. Sadly I think Agger will have to be replaced in the next year or two when Sami retires.

Daniel Agger is the most talented defender weve got and you're writing him off already just because you're a red doesn't mean you know football. Idiots!

@dummy - I wouldn't like to think we'll be 'replacing' him any time soon.

@anonymous - I'm not writing him off by any stretch of the imagination. Despite a frustrating season of Agger being injured all the time, he remains a firm favourite and I can't wait to see what himself and Skrtel are like together.

Hopefully Agger will be back next season and we can see how good his pairing with Skrtel will be.

It's a bit of a shame - he seemed to be on the mend after playing a few ressies games ok. Best he gets himself sorted out this season as he will be our best defender for the next decade...

@banger1 & robbie - Ah sure the optimist in me believes he'll be back in fine fighting spirits next season, I'm convinced himself and Skrtel are going to be amazing together.
