Not even Pele could stop Liverpool

Ok not THE Pele, instead I'm playing a bit on Inter Milans poor sub who is his namesake. Coming in to the match they were missing their central defenders and the replacements were never really going to stop us on the counter attack given our [Torres] current form.

The media will probably focus on Torres [excellent] goal but I'd be more inclined to focus on Mascherano and Skrtel as being the best players (even though the whole team played very well). Once Agger is back, it'll be interesting to see how good a pairing he makes with Skrtel, it's bound to be our best defensive partnership since Lawrenson & Hansen.

The draw for the quarter finals takes place on Friday, doesn't matter who we draw as
the only thing I can see stopping Liverpool now, is Liverpool themselves.

you can not even begin to pick a man of the match - the whole bloody team was amazing - even the inter milan fans were clapping us !!!

That was a beautiful game, Reina might not get much to do in most games, but he showed his worth tonight. Loved the way Torres just waited for the ball to drop and had complete awareness of where he was in relation to the goal. Skrtel had a minor mistake but he looks like being an awesome signing for us. If only the team would play this good in the Premiership we would walk it, as it stands, we just have to settle for another Champions League this year ;-)

We seem unbeatable in Europe and the quality we face in Europe wipes the floor with the Premiership yet we rarely ever seem to transfer our form over to the Premiership which is really disappointing.
Can't praise the guys enough for last night - absolutely immense performance from them.
