Can anyone recall some funny Rafa moments ?

While he doesn't hold an audience in the palm of his hand quite like Mourinho does. Rafa has an innate ability to come up with the goods in the humour department. It's not something which he's renowned for but he usually pulls a subtle cracker out of the bag every so often.

His most recent quip was regarding the knock which Hyypia sustained to his head against Fulham. Hyypia was dizzy so Rafa asked him if he'd seen the 3rd goal (clever!) and Hyypia just looked at him with a confused look ;-)

Another recent one was when he was quizzed about cricket and he joked about how no one knows the rules of the game or how can you explain to your wife you're going to a game and that you'll be back 5 days later. Can anyone else recall some humourous Rafa moments ? What's your favourite ?

For me it was when we first beat Chelsea and said in the interview after :-
"He's always a player from whom you can expect something different. If you're struggling in a game you can either do two things, send your centre back up front as a centre forward or use Luis Garcia between the lines."

He's a quick witted fellow our Rafa is ;-)

The semifinal vs Chelsea when Reina was sent off after that Robben dived and Rafa was going on about how he didn't have time for his post-match interview because he had to go see Robben in the hospital! loved that

Welcome Peder, I believe this is your first time commenting here :-)
I'd actually forgotten about the Robben incident until you reminded me, so thanks :-)

in response to mourinho's claim that his players are innocent, rafa said, " if they're innocent, i'm little red riding hood."

Made a classic th other day talking about Gerrards neck injury:

"The other day, he wanted to play but he was only able to look to the right, so I told him he could play as a left winger!"

"We will talk together, with the doctor. The player will say he wants to play, but there's an easy way of finding out whether he's fit. I will come up and tap him on the left shoulder and if he turns to face me without any pain, we will know he can play."

@bet man - hadn't heard that one, love it :-)
