How much of Hicks interview was all spin ?

Sitting there with his LFC mug and his people in the background wearing our shirts it seemed somewhat tacky or cheesy. The only point of the interview I imagine was to try and force Gillet & Parry to leave.

I doubt many fans really believe that if he were to buy out Gillet he would pump his own capital in and take the debt off the club and still finance the stadium. He points out that Gillet was the driving force behind the Klinsmann move, but so what that's water under the bridge. As for Parry he reiterated that things have been a disaster with him in charge (no news there). Offering Rafa a new contract seems more like common sense than anything.

It's all good and well for Hicks to say what he thinks the fans want to hear but all that's really needed is stability and forward motion for our club.

Hicks track record at Corinthians, Stars and Rangers proves that you dont get stability with him running things by himself. Its clear we cant get stability with both Gillet + Hicks either. So unless DIC buy us out....

He's a complete liar - there's no way he is going to take the debt off the club. He has spent his whole career being a leveraged buy out specialist. How anyone can possibly believe he will change for LFC is beyond me.

What has me worried is that if Gillet doesnt sell and DIC dont buy us out, then what ? How much longer will we have to put up with all this crap for ?

Sky are reporting that the fans appear split in their support for him - while some believe this is a Sky conspiracy, I'm of the mind it's true - to a greater or lesser degree - i'm starting to see the beginnings of a small swing towards Hicks from some "fans".

Therefore, it's clear his PR, his deceipt, his lies, his flooding the media with positive stories, his accusations, his cack handed alignment with Rafa, his dubiously intentioned call for Parry's sacking, are working on some people.

EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF HIS MOUTH IS A LIE!!

I understand why people are upset with Hicks, but don't you think the constant protesting and complaining is making the situation look worse?

He mentioned several (positive) things he wants to do in the near future, including summer spending and extending Rafa's contract, and getting the club out of debt.
How 'bout the complainers sit tight for a bit and see if he actually does it? I get the feeling that many will bitch and moan regardless of what good he does for the club.

I appreciate all the points raised, it's sad that all this gets played out in the media, really sad.
I'm really tired of it all, as I imagine most Reds fans are.
I know he mentioned several positive things that he wants to do in the future and the optimist in me wants to believe (I really want to believe).
I just want to see stability at the club and for our focus to be on the team and not the boardroom, that's how football should be.
