Just when Aurelio started stringing together some good performances, he goes and picks up a nasty groin injury (will miss what's left of the season). The injury paved the way for out of form Riise to come into the side.
Of course it was a terrible own goal to give away. Rather than condemning him, I think it would be better to let him walk straight back in to the side. He'll be the hungriest player on the pitch and we all know he can score a goal or two.
It's highly likely that Riise will be leaving LFC soon, and it would be a shame if people were to remember him because of this own goal (which they will if we don't make the final). He has been a fantastic servant for us over the years and fingers crossed he'll produce one of his trademark goals at Stamford Bridge [for us].

what do you mean dont condenm him. he was shit. why did he have to head the ball instead of just kicking it away. just because he has scored some goals in the past does not make him a great player. he gives the ball away too easy. only has a left foot and fluffs plenty of his long range efforts.
His whole season has been very poor. I think it's because he knows it's his last one.
Pity the people who can't remember the good times he has also given us, not just the great goals but the functional ones too (like last year against Barcelona).
In the 2nd leg I think Riise will more than put the effort in to make amends. He has been a loyal servant and deserves some respect.
Don't want to talk about it.
