Maybe I'm just missing something here but I don't recall us ever doing that before. I like the new jerseys and all but I wish they'd waited until next season before parading them on the pitch, just didn't feel right to me. I've always associated new jerseys with new player arrivals at LFC and the departure of others.
Seeing Voronin wearing the new number 10 jersey made me wonder if he's part of Rafas plans next year, I hope not because aside from a few promising games at the start of the season he's been terrible ever since, doubt he'd make it at Championship level. If there was any fringe player I'd like to have seen wearing the new jersey it would be Crouchie but he didn't even make the bench, I hope we don't lose him this summer but fear we will.

I can recall.. last home game with houllier in charge when owen scored from gerrard long-range pass versus Newcastle
and i think back then our players also already had the new jersey.
the case is.. that he probably just wanted to keep Voronins prize-tag up and with crouch - its obvious that Rafa does not want to sell him mate (:
I missed the first couple of minutes of the game but felt there was something not quite right about us. It wasn't until Babel was injured and there was a close up that I realised we were wearing the new kit !!
Voronin has to go, he's probably the worst player to grace a red shirt in many a year (even more than any of Houliers flops).
Considering how poorly Voronin continues to play it's hard to imagine there being any price tag on his head !?!
How is it obvious Rafa wants to keep Crouchie if he continually doesn't let him play ?
