I'm really not sure what to make of this new grey shirt.I kinda like the way we normally alternate between white and yellow away jerseys.
Still LFC has confirmed what it now looks like and it'll be launched on July 17th.
Rumour has it we can also expect to see another away shirt for europe launched next month (teal blue apparently). Recent Posts

red home, white away.. history shows the bad shirts never worked 'candy' anyone? 'crown paints' or was that just a nightmare?? suggestions for third shirt? why not tip our hats to our celtic cousins - 'superhoops' anyone?
Grey yuk!! Shit shirt for a poorly run club.
personally i love it, i think it looks better when its actually on someone and with the badges on the sleeves.
never liked the white ones and if this means the death of the mustard yellow, im all for that.
the keeper shirt for this kit is really sharp though.
Personally, I would have preferred something like our black third strip, I thought that looked very sharp. When I first saw the grey, I didn't like it, but it is warming up on me. It's very retro, when I saw Pepe wearing the goalkeeper strip, it looked like Big Bruce. And as for third strip, it's a green, I've seen it on another site.
My wife is an orthoptist (eye specialist) and when she was at uni her head of department was the person who convinced Man U to drop their grey shirts. There's a good reason for this! You can't see grey in your peripheral vision!!!
@anon1 - can't picture us in hoops either
@anon2 - well said
@mike georger - agreed on the keeper shirt
@anon3 - i think 'teal blue' is kinda greeny
@anon4 - at least we can use that as an original excuse whenever we perform poorly away from home :-(
Ok it’s the time of year when we all get to moan about the new kit….or second kit that’s just been issued by the powers that be. Lets just all be grateful that we don’t support manure and have five or six kits at a time. Hey do any of you remember the fantasy football league sketch when Baddiel plays the manure fan and takes his shirt off just to reveal another current manure jersey….five or six times!!! .ha ha ha
From the point of view of a fan who wants to buy a shirt and wear it socially I think it is good. The idea of a fan buying a replica shirt is that he can wear it on a Friday night or just to the pub with his mates or even when he’s with his favourite chick and not just on match days. So it would make sense that it had style. It is a summer colour and for those fans who are fashion conscious it goes with many colours as do black and white.
Our third shirt will obviously be the Champions league shirt which is another money spinning idea, hey why did the club drop the sponsors from our shirt in champs league matches? Was this an argument with our current sponsors? (note to Mr Parry for his next meeting with Messrs Carlsberg). That should have been discussed at the start of the contract and not renegotiated halfway through, was this a small error on the part of our Chief Exec? Anyway that’s another topic. The principal of having a champions league shirt is a good one commercially and the idea of a player putting on the champions league shirt on a Wednesday and playing out of his skin is good but I wonder why we can’t create a shirt that motivates the player to play the same against Inter Milan as it would do against Middlesboro?
That’s a truly great point on peripheral vision mate especially if it makes Manure look like ***** but say that to Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge, Houghton and McMahon and co when they created football heaven away wearing a near similar shirt. Surely the players would have been consulted on this issue?
Apologies to Mr Heron on not leaving my name on this instance as I wouldn’t take much notice on “anonymous” people who say we have a poorly run club.
P.S. blog administrator is at it again. Mr (or miss) Love River may want to explain it differently?
Again…..topscouse2003@gmail.com
I'll still wear it, even if I'm not crazy about the horrible croatian checkered look at the bottom
@topscouse - that would be one truly magical shirt which could motivate us that much, we'd have to get it patented though. As for "Love River", I delete any link spam from comments.
@jaded - i reckon i'll end up wearing it too, my sister has a habit of getting me the away strip every year (which i appreciate very much though).
I'll have a bit of that, except, shouldn't the Carlsberg logo be in red as well? Looks odd in white...
I still wear my candy shirt but i'll wait until i go to Goa in November and buy mine there.Only 800 rupees and nothing for Hicks and Gillet ;-)
