Farewell Crouchinho, you'll be missed, maybe

Well the writing had been on the wall all season long, so it's of little surprise that Crouchie has finally left Liverpool. Despite only having one season left on his contract, we made a tidy profit and the £11m we got for his transfer to Portsmouth should help when [if] trying to land Robbie Keane.

Although he was our second best striker, he never got much of a look in last season.
If we do end up landing the likes of Keane or Villa then I doubt Crouchie will be missed. Otherwise then I wonder who else will present a significant scoring threat for us. As for the future of Crouchie I wish him all the best, he was a good signing and servant for us.

if you can't afford Barry, then you have no chance of getting Keane

Did I read your are after Keane ? I really doubt it unless the price is right and that is hard on you if your transfer kitty allowance can only match a second division Spanish club! wake up rafa, and talk sense and stop makin fool out of yourself...

If Keano comes to Liverpool - he'll be a God for us. He's a Red through and through, has been ever since he was a little kid. Himself and Torres would make the perfect strike partnership. Just hope we can prise him away from Spurs.

As for Crouch, he was a damn good player for us, hope he does well at Portsmouth.

Can we all be a little less whingey about players who might be moving?

I thought the original posted comment was a fair reflection of the way Peter Crouch has conducted himself with Liverpool. Both the Barry & Keene moved are possible, so there's no need to get upset.

As a Pompey fan I will be pleased to welcome Crouch, he will give us more than Liverpool will lose because Liverpool have, or will have, a wider range of striking options.
