Sold on the cheap to West Brom

Well it's finally been confirmed that Scott Carson has signed for West Bromwich Albion. I'm sure we all knew his recent loss of form would hurt his resale value, but it still kinda sucks to see his value drop from £10 million last year to a mere £3.25 million (at least it covers the cost of Cavalieri).

My main memory of Carson was against Juventus back in 2005 when in one half he pulled off a mind blowing save to deny Del Piero but in the second half made an absolute howler of a mistake to gift Juventus a lifeline for the second leg. He played his part in us winning the Champions League so for that I'll always be grateful and hope he does well in the future.

He was a crap(ish) keeper but will probably end up like other former liverpool keepers who end up leaving the club and then play brilliantly against us (friedel, james, kirkland). We made a decent profit on him plus i think Villa paid for a couple of million to us for loan services so it works out as quite a good signing overall.

rumour has it that we got a buy back clause in his contract - maybe the kid will come good in a few years and if we need a reina replacement carson could be it

5 times what we paid, plus 2M last year on the loan deal.

Good business for a shite player

The only reason he was valued at £10m is because he's English and he had a couple of good games. All English players are massively overvalued shite.
If anything we got lucky with making a few million off of him.

Shite? Oh lets all get really bitter about it shall we? I suppose if he makes it as England no.1 you lot will be saying how you'd developed him in the first place? Numpties. EVERY keeper has a couple of howlers EVERY year.

Good luck to him, I hope he does well for the Albion. He has made us a profit and done well when called upon. I hope he does make it as number 1 for England. There is no crime in wanting first team football and there was no way he was going to displace Reina.

Im glad we (wba) signed him s we are in desperate need of a decent keeper. what you scousers need to understand is that sometimes you v=cant win everything, you had your time in the eighties, now its man u and chelsea's time, im sure you will have your day again,.
