It was Men (LFC) against Boys (PSV)

It's shocking just how easy a game this was for us. You wouldn't think this was supposed to be the Champions League at all considering the gulf in class. In fact it was so easy for the Reds that it was almost boring to watch.

At least there was a couple of standout moments, the obvious ones being Keane scoring his first (link), and Gerrard scoring his 100th. Typical he should score his 100th at the Kop and in such stunning style, the sheer joy on his face was plain for all to see.

Speaking of Men against Boys, it's great to see how much Gerrard appears to have matured this season. He's holding his position, breaking up play, far more effective in his passing and dictating games more. The all new mature captain is what I'd long hoped for, and long may it continue.

It might be a case of another false dawn for Gerrard but I hope this time he really is going to grow up. Was nice of Torres to put on a special show for us tonight. He must have forgotten to put his studs in as the poor bastard kept slipping all over the pitch. Was funny but only cos we were winning.

Handy little win we got ourselves there even though PSV were crap. I thought Alonso was probably better than Stevie G. But people focus on Stevie G because he scores more. Shame that.

Terrible game but good result. Gerrard + Keane made it worthwhile watching. Man City better be a better game on Sunday.

That was a shite game but loved the goals. Kuyt looks like a player who scores by accident though (off his shin, knee, direct at the keeper), still it amuses me sometimes. Congrats to Gerrard.
