The last thing I reckon any Reds fan hopes for is an Owen-style series of injuries for Torres. But with Torres suffering his 3rd hamstring injury in just a few months, it makes you wonder if we can expect to see more recurrences of this.
This time he'll be out for about 3 weeks, fingers crossed Rafa won't try rushing him back into play. It would be better for all of us if he were out for an extra week or two to ensure he's fully recovered rather than risk further spells out.

We are doing just fine without Torres this season. We are well stocked in the striker department with plenty of people who can stand in (Babel, Ngog, Nemeth). Another month or so will NOT kill our season so I agree we should let him fully recover so we can see him for the rest of the season when things get tougher.
Totally gutted to be without him again. We have been totally dependant on luck to be where we are in the league without Torres. That luck cant go on for much longer.
@robbie - we do have people who can 'stand in'. I miss seeing him score though and the good old Torres bounce in the Kop.
Time to give Babel and Nemeth a chance through the middle. Ngog just doesn't do it for me, and while I love Keanes workrate it seems to be taking a long time to recreate anything like the form he showed for spurs
We miss Torres, he is a born scorer..well like Benitez said "won't try rushing him back into play"..so Benitez must give the chance to Babel to play as a striker and also make Nemeth in the first team. The latter will be the best among the best strikers in the world. So Mr Benitez, you must make promote our youngsters from the academy...well i am not satisfied with NGOG!!He just has been bought and is giving more chances that our starlet!!
