Fernando Torres wedding a low key affair

Looking through my Google Analytics data, it's clear that thousands of people have been searching for details on when (and to who) Torres was going to get married. Unfortunately they always ended up at this older post.

So for the curious amongst you, it's now official that he has married his childhood sweetheart (Olalla - who is 7 months pregnant). Most footballers typically have huge lavish affairs for their weddings, but not our Torres, who had a very low key ceremony with just 2 guests present.

That's what I like about the guy, despite being a global superstar, off the pitch, he keeps his private life to himself. It makes for a refreshing change from other footballers. Anyways, congradulations to Fernando & Olalla.

Hearts will be breaking wide open all over the world tonight. And not just with the ladies ;-)

Poor bastard, his recent pay rise obviously wasn't enough to pay for a more extravagant wedding !!!

i agree wholeheartedly... this kinda thing shows you the type of person he is... and his exactly the type of people you want in your club...
i look at the likes of ronaldo at united and think to myself... i really wouldnt want this guy out our club if they paid us to have him... he just ruins the image this club has for me

@Jessica + @ Marcus - LOL, aye right ;-)

@suley - we've got Rafa to thank for that, just think of all his major signings. He goes after players with a certain work ethic and attitude, the kind of players who work hard and don't chase the limelight off the pitch.

The lad is a class act and its apparent his missus is too. You get used to wags having agents and crap but this girl is more genuine and special than any of those ever could be.

Congratulations to both of them. They are really great together. They deserve every possible happiness and I hope everything will be fine with the baby :-)

I think it's cool that they protect their private live.
