Jesus Fernandez Saez has signed for Liverpool

First we had God at LFC, now it looks like we might have Jesus also (not to imply he's the son of Fowler). Liverpool have beaten Real Madrid & Barcelona to the signing of another highly talented kid.

The 16 year old attacking midfielder, is meant to be in the mould of Cesc Fabregas. That's quite a hefty tag to live up to, but it's also the norm for the media to compare any talented kid to an established star.

We've already got some astonishing youth players who play in midfield, so this kid is really going to have to be something special if he wants to be able to fend off competition from our other starlets.

I can just hear Andy Gray in years to come, 'Jesus has got on the end of that high cross and nailed it, what a hit son, what a hit...'

Its hard to get excited about signing so many of these kids. Nearly every single one of them will fall by the wayside, its too hard for them to make it by starting at a big club. They should just stay with small teams until their 20s.

Now seems as good a time as any to start a rumour of him being Fowlers love child !!

A lot of kids may fall by the wayside but I think its better to take a chance on a talented boy for peanuts by todays standards than to wait until he is 20 and then have to pay £20-30 million for him. Are you Rick Parry Mr Anonymous.

This guy is a playmaker like Alons/Xavi.He has been hand-picked by Segura, the same guy who has developed Iniesta,Messi,Bojan,Xavi,Gasquets. Expect to see big things from this guy.

LOL that first comment is the funniest thing I have read in years :-)

Can i be honest? Liverpool isnt the place to grow these kids. Rafa has a lack of a tendency to put any youth into his side. We have an abundance of youngsters who i think can make the grade - Amoo, Spearing, Ince, Nemeth, Pacheco, the german left back we have too. I just think we have got him in, and then in 4 years when he 20, we wil sell him back to spain for about £5million and then in 5 years time after that the guy will be a superstar.
We dont need kids, we need proper good players now, we cant wait another 19 years before a league title.
its time rafa stopped investing in the future and spent his money on the first team.

He has great qualities; even when everyone thinks he's dead and buried, he won't give up.

I agree with the comment regarding if we get him when he is twenty he will cost millions. By buying him now, if he fails to impress you are not losing too much.

Also to the comment regarding Rafa not putting youth in because in the posters opinion we have some good players. Yes we have some good youngsters but Rafa sees them in training and will know which players are ready. Also he uses cup games to try these players out.

And no the future of the club is just as important as today. I hope we only sign two big players but getting younsgters in now could help the club save millions in the future.

Well this is all good news, Johnson, Jesus and hopefully Saviola and maybe maybe Heinze or Silva... Plus hopefully we see Hammil and Speairing in the first team..

@Tawfiq The Red - Silva is one I'd love to see but kinda doubt it.

Hope your kids had fun at the LFC football school ?

@Tawfiq - sorry to hear that, but I think it's sooo cool that they wear their LFC kits to the Arsenal school ;-)
