Agger injury flares up again

Looks like Agger has suffered a recurrence of the back injury he had last February. At the time he was out of action for a month. This time round though it's expected he'll only miss a couple of pre-season games.

Considering that Rafa is talking about the possibility of Agger being able to make the trip to Thailand and Singapore next week, it's fairly safe to assume that it's not a full flare up. And as long as Agger is eased back into action, they can avoid it becoming more serious.

Its not a big problem - just a minor injury - he will be fit in time for the league and thats what matters.

Its a shame for Agger as a full pre season would have done him the world of good.

It's actually a little alarming because Agger is proving to be almost as injury prone as Aurelio. Just goes to show we really need extra defensive cover.

stop flapping ! at least they will get their injuries out of the way before the season gets underway.

@Marcus - nah, he ain't anywhere near as bad as Aurelio ;-)

Aurelio has been unlucky and this should be the end of his bad luck otherwise he is jinxed in a Liverpool shirt.

Why does it always happen to our best players? the ones that want to give it their all for the club.

Our bad fortune has to come to an end otherwise injuries will cost us the title once again.

Maybe thats Man City's idea with the number of forwards they have!

Alonso is more likely to move there than Madrid as things stand ;-)

@Pre Season Tension - unfortunately Aurelio has always been injury prone, but Rafa having managed him for a few years at Valencia was well aware of that. But I like Aurelio alot and hope he stays with us for a few more years while Insua grows and develops into a world class player (he's got the potential).

Sounds like it was a trapped nerve or muscle issue if he was only out for a month.
