Nothing to see here, no injury crisis

On the surface our injury list doesn't make for good reading, but dig a little deeper and you'll see it's nothing to be too concerned about. Riera, Carragher and Gerrard had minor injuries and should all be fit this week.

Agger and Skrtel had more serious injuries but both are just days away from returning. Aurelio and Aguilani will be out for 1 or 2 months, but we've plenty of cover in their positions.

With the Premier League about to start this weekend, the match fitness of our defence is questionable but the same can be said for Tottenham Hotspur whose defenders have their own fitness and injury issues. If anything we might be treated to a more open and high scoring game this Sunday.

We never seem to do well at White Hart Lane but I think we can comfortably take all 3 points this time.

All we need is to control the midfield. Torres + Gerrard will wipe the floor with Spurs ragged defence (they got much bigger problems than us).

Skrtel trained today with the 1st team today and did extra training with the reserves so looks like he may be fit for Sunday. (My mate works at the Academy and watched the training today

Crouch could be a problem

"Crouch could be a problem"

Torres will be a bigger one and he still plays for us ;-)

Spurs will be a tricky fixture but we should be able to get all 3 points. Injuries to both sides will cancel each other out and the rest of our team is much better than theirs.

We need to sign another defender asap cos we got some injury prone defenders and other teams dont have the same problems as Spurs.

@Marcus - it should be a cool game with at least a few goals being scored, as long as we win I'll be happy.

@Sean - handy job your mate has ;-)
Cheers for letting us know.

Not so sure about Agger returning quickly. Back problems are never straight forward and he could be out another couple weeks.

Both teams are missing their defence ?

This ought to be a good laugh ;-)

@Simon - it won't be if we lose ;-)

Lets wait and see the result this weekend
Hopefully we'll take the 3 points
Just upset on Adam Hammil's sale
Worst thing ever
really depressed over it

@Tawfiq - I hope once the football begins, you'll soon forget about Hammil...

Points or no points, just can't wait for the season to begin...it's been quiet long 2 weeks, but of course, we'll put down white heart lane :)
