I had a really bad feeling when Carragher and Skrtel clashed heads on Sunday. Not as bad as I'm sure they had, but you know what I mean. Turns out he didn't actually break his jaw, it's just heavily cracked.
As a result of this he'll be out of action for a couple of weeks and upon his return will have to wear a special mask. It's the special mask which has got me thinking, will we see him in a Hannibal Lecter style mask ?

BTW its a complete f**king joke that our defense has been decimated by injuries. The Yanks better get the finger out and give Benitez some cash to sign another defender ASAP.

i've heard we are looking at buying Steven Taylor from Newcastle, i like him very much. young and english, could be worth a buy. i doubt he'd be much money either.
why haven't we looked at Big Sol Campbell,i know he's not as quick as he was but i think he could prove very valuble like Hyypia was to us.especailly good for the young guys coming thru.
Gutted Skrtel is injured, it was his ball all the way, were really struggling but the way i see it is we lost to spurs last year so if we beat Stoke tomorrow we will be in a better position than we were last season.Results wise.

@kev oman - lord knows who we'll end up signing, I just hope they'll be good and fit in quickly. I like the idea of an older player like Campbell or Distin, like you say, it could be good for the younger players coming through.

So much for a special mask or being out for a couple of weeks. He was back (face intact) last night against Villa.
