Sweet FA are a funny little lot

When you've got millions of viewers witnessing some very incompetent refereeing decisions during games, is it really all that big a deal for a manager to point it out also ?

You can read a short BBC article about Rafa being charged by the FA and also view the video of his interview if you click here.

It's all good and well for the sweet FA to make up rules but those rules should be applied to all managers. In reality though it appears that certain managers (Fergie) can get away with saying virtually anything but others (Rafa) have to walk on eggshells.

Quite, I wonder what will happen regarding Ferguson's comments about Foy or Wenger's outburst on Saturday. Football decision making is imperfect by design and the FA insists on not using better methodology (video refereeing or goal line technology). If this is the case at least be consistent and realise that referees are not perfect and therefore will be subject to criticism for wrong decisions.

Similarly the case with Eduardo and UEFA, which is all well and good if UEFA is going to ban every player who dives. Unfortunately this is simply not possible and won't happen. The fact that UEFA accuse him of diving contradicts attempts to not undermine referees, since the match ref gave a penalty. So if the referee is proven to be imperfect in this case why not apply the same logic to video refereeing, to post-match disciplinary decisions with regards to yellow and red cards (which are a confusing set of rules to begin with).

I am sick and tired of the stupid morons in the FA.

How is it that they let Wenger get away with stating that there is no way his team will be awarded any penalties at Old Trafford but they can penalise Benitez for saying he knew the ref wouldnt give 2 penalties in one game ? In fact no only that but they apologised to Wenger for how he was treated at Old Trafford even though he mocked the ref in front of millions ! How stupid is that ?

They are a bunch of overpaid wasters.
