I was certainly impressed with Plessis when he played against Arsenal, and would like to think he can handle a game or two if needs be in August.
As for Alonso, I think he's as good as gone, he's not half the player he once was so it shouldn't be a big loss for us.

i don't think it's gonna be that big a deal - a much bigger problem is whether we can afford enough quality signings to make a proper title challenge next season
